With our Indisposables form fitted cloth diaper, there is never a question. Simply place your baby on the diaper and fasten the Aplix hook and loop (similar to Velcro®) tabs.
TIP! If you need the leg openings closed a little bit, angle the hook and loop slightly upwards. If you need the leg opening larger, angle the hook and loop downwards.
With the Indisposables Cloth Diaper you will typically need 2 sizes. Our small size fits birth to 20 lbs and the large fits 20 – 35 lbs. Generally that takes babies to toilet training. We do have an X-Large diaper that fits 35 – 50 pounds for those who build super babies. Most babies do not need the x-large diaper.
The general rule of thumb is every time your child urinates or has a bowel movement. That can be anywhere from 8 to 10 times per day. The benefit of using cloth is that you know when this happens. It promotes regular changes and does not allow your child to sit in a wet disposable diaper for an extended period of time. Experience has shown that a diaper change occurs on average every 2 to 2 ½ hours.
Food for thought: Think of those 8 – 10 cloth diaper changes as 8 – 10 positive opportunities to have one-on-one, face-to-face contact with your baby!
We recommend using 24 small Indisposables Cloth Diapers. You will be doing laundry ever 2 – 2 ½ days. We have found that babies will be in the small cloth diaper between 4 – 6 months* When your child reaches the larger size, we have found that 30 Indisposables diapers work better. You are out doing more with your infant and this gives a slightly longer period between washes, plus your child is in them longer. This promotes a more even wear and tear on the diapers.*individual results may vary
There are no guarantees as to how long a cloth diaper can or will last. There are a varying number of factors that contribute to a diaper’s life: the pH of your Childs’ urine and feces; the hardness of your wash water; the detergent you use; and, the products you use on your Childs bottom. Experience has shown that the Indisposables small diaper will generally diaper 2 children, while the large size will diaper one child. (Keeping in mind your baby is in a small diaper from birth to 6 or 8 months and then in large diaper from 8 months to 2 or 2 ½ years (or a potential 22 months).
The only difference is that white have gone through a hydrogen peroxide wash. Otherwise they are pretty much the same.
Some are, and some are not! We are still in the process of finding an AIO that we can really stand behind. They're convenient, that's for sure. But they are not always reliable; they do not last as long as other diapers and they can wash up poorly. Generally the life of a good pant is 8 months to a year, but a diaper is about 2 years. So if you put those two pieces together…

Covers are a very personal choice. We recommend pull ups for your best leakage protection; however, wrap pants are much easier to change. We suggest you try a few of each and make your own decision.
Not only are they cost effective, they are much easier! Imagine that you have finished changing a soiled cloth diaper and you now have a pile of disposable wipes. What do you do with them? Throw them in the trash? That is actually a bio hazard. Flush them? Not a good idea because they will likely clog your toilet. Indisposables Cotton Baby Wipes go right in the diaper pail with the dirty diaper. If you have one baby wipe per diaper you will never run out!
TIP! Make up some of your favorite wipe solution. Every few days, pour some over fresh and clean cloth wipes in either an empty disposable wipe container or a plastic container with a tight-fitting lid. Tip upside down to be sure and saturate all the wipes. Keep a container of your pre-moistened Indisposables Cloth Baby Wipes handy at all of the most commonly used diaper changing points in the house and you’re set!
Baby Wipes 1-1/2 - 2 cups water 8 drops of lavender oil 5 drops of tea tree oil (optional) 1/8 - 1/4 c baby shampoo Add the baby shampoo last, mix the solution gently.
Basic Baby Wipe Recipe 2-1/4 cups water 2 tbsp baby shampoo
Anti-fungal Baby Wipes 1/2 c. distilled water 1/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. aloe vera gel 1 TBS. calendula oil 1 drop lavender essential oil 1 drop tea tree essential oil Note: If baby has a really red, raw diaper rash omit the vinegar.
TIP! You can also pre-moisten your baby wipes with clear water and store them in a re-sealable plastic bag – great for the diaper bag.
Cloth wipes work great on older children, on dirty hands and faces and even to wipe down high chairs!
TIP! Use the white and unbleached baby wipes for diaper changes and use the printed baby wipes for dirty hands and faces.
You should have 4 – 6 training pants on hand. If your child is going through more than 6 pants in one day then your child is not ready to train. After all, the idea is that your child is telling you that he needs to go. You should not be asking her every 15 minutes if she needs to go.
No, you do not need a “plastic” cover for our Indisposables Training Pants. Our Trainers are designed to be like underwear to help encourage the potty training experience. The absorbent inner layer has waterproof lining that will protect against "small accidents".
Sizing Hint: Our small Training Pants fit "petite" children; large fits 90% of children; and, x-large fits "husky" children.
